PRINCESS ANNE, Md.--Freshman baseball catcher Justin Dattilo (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and sophomore women's basketball guard TeAmber Burke (Washington, N.C.) have been named the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Peninsula Regional Medical Center Athletes of the Week for the week ending on March 18th. Both athletes are receiving the honor for the first time this season.

Dattilo provided a consistent presence in the cleanup spot while catching all five games the Hawks played this past week. Justin hit .562 during the span, scoring seven runs and knocking in seven RBIs, while hitting two doubles and walking five times. Furthermore, Dattilo only struck out once during the five games, in which the Hawks went 3-2. He is second in batting average for the Hawks this season, hitting .333 this season, while embracing his role as the cleanup hitter, leading the team in RBIs with thirteen.

Burke finished her sophomore season in style during the MEAC Tournament last week in Norfolk, Virgina. In the upset win over Norfolk State on Monday, Burke finished with 17 points and five rebounds, while also leading the team in assists with four and steals with two. In Thursday's season finale versus Coppin State, TeAmber led the team in points and steals, with 14 and two, respectively, with seven rebounds and four assists. Burke, who played in every game with thirteen starts, finished the season averaging 5.7 points per game and 2.8 rebounds per game.

Dattilo and the Hawks' baseball team will travel to North Carolina for games against Duke and UNC Greensboro before coming home for a three game series against Norfolk State this weekend.
