Linda Baines assumed the position of Coordinator of Student Services at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in January 2010. Baines also holds the title of S.A.A.C Advisor and works in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at UMES.
She graduated from Salisbury University in 2003 and holds a degree in psychology. Baines also went to graduate school at SU and recieved a Masters of Education degree. Prior to her employment in the athletic department, Baines worked in the Math & Computer Science Department at UMES as a program manager. She also worked with STEM and helped recruit incoming freshman for the program by visiting high schools across the bay. She spent one year at this position from August 2004-05. Baines began her professional career at UMES at the Child & Development Center as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher for nearly five years (July 1999 - August 2004).
She has a husband, Andrew, one daughter, Amber and one son, Aaron. The Chicago, Ill., native states that her favorite movie is Jumping the Broom. Her favorite bookis Love, Honor & Betray by Kimberla Lawson Roby. The best advice that she has recieved is "I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me (Phillipians 4:13).
