The Lady Hawks "Go Green" as they take on Coppin State at the Hytche.

Bret Lasky joined the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Athletics Department in September of 2009. Lasky serves as a play-by-play announcer for Hawks men's basketball and women's basketball. He also assists in the daily operation of the media relations department.

Lasky is also the Director of Broadcasting and Graphic Design for the nearby Delmarva Shorebirds (A-affiliate, Baltimore Orioles). He broadcasts all regular season games and designs all team publications including: pocket schedules, magnet schedules, group brochures and more.

Lasky graduated from the University of Maryland in 2007 with a degree in Journalism. During his senior season, he served as the Sports Director of WMUC, the student run radio station. Throughout his tenure at Maryland, he broadcast Terrapin athletic events. In 2006, he called the NCAA women's basketball national championship game in Boston.

In 2008, he served as the Assistant Director of Broadcasting and Media for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans (Advanced-A, Atlanta Braves).

Lasky's other broadcast credentials include stops with Fayetteville State University, ISP Sports and the Hyannis Mets of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
