Saturday, January 30 - Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers - women's (2 p.m.) and men's (4 p.m.) doubleheader vs. Howard  |  The Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers awareness weekend is a collaborative initiative of the National Coaches Association of Basketball Coaches and the American Cancer Society, is a nationwide annual event in which coaches across the country unite for a common cause - fighting cancer!  Today, UMES coaches and staff will wear sneakers with their game suits to raise awareness about the fight against cancer and sharing the importance of nutrition and physical activity in reducing one's risk of the disease.  To show your support of Coach Allen and Coach Batchelor's efforts in the fight against cancer, we invite you to wear your sneakers to the game too.  To learn more, visit mdcoachesvscancer.org or call 1.800.227.2345.

Monday, Feburary 15 - WBCA Pink Zone - women's (5:30 p.m.) and men's (7:30 p.m.) doubleheader vs. Bethune-Cookman  |   Let's reach beyond the court and into our schools and communities to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.  Whether you wear a pink ribbon, a pink t-shirt, make a donation or hand out flyers, the importance comes in the awareness you create.  So get your pink ready today!

Domestic Violence Awareness LogoSunday, Oct. 25 - Domestic Violence Awareness Day - The first 25 people to attend the game will receive a purple UMES Domestic Violence Awareness t-shirt.   Wear your purple and join your Lady Hawks in supporting the fight against domestic violence.  The UMES Counseling Center and Life Crisis Center have proudly provided informational materials for those in attendance.

 

Friday, Oct. 30 - DiG PiNK Day - The first 25 people to attend the game will receive a pink UMES Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirt.  Wear your pink and join your Lady Hawks in supporting the fight against breast cancer.  Staff from the UMES Health Center, Peninsula Regional Medical Center and American Cancer Society will be in attendance to hand out brochures and answer questions and concerns for fans.
