Feb. 1, 2005 PRINCESS ANNE, MD - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) cheerleading team welcomed several new members this year, adding further depth to the seasoned veteran squad. The cheerleaders welcomed 11 freshmen, eight sophomores and five juniors this season, giving the team 24 members to finish out the 2004-05 basketball campaign. The addition of three males makes the cheerleaders more versatile, and the squad will look to make their presence known in MEAC cheering competition during basketball championships this March.
