MEAC Championships

Highlights of the 2015 MEAC Indoor Championships. The men took third while the women finished fifth.

2015 Indoor Season: Took home several top ten finishes in both the shot put and the weight throw ... top distance in the SP was 11.77, finishing 5th at the Metro Team Challenge ... best distance in the WT was a 13.73 at the Gotham Cup ... finished in top three at pair of home meets over the winter. 

2015 Outdoor Season: Had the best distance in the discus of the Lady Hawks ... placed ninth with a 37.50 meter toss at the Morgan Legacy ... topped out at 11.95 meters in the shot put with a 16th place finish at the Wake Forest Open.

born on August 12, 1995...daughter of Lelie Vaughan-Porter...has a brother, Chris....sociology and social work major at UMES...pregame routine includes listening to music pregame to focus...lists her grandmother as her biggest influence as due to her courageous battle with cancer...made honor roll every quarter while playing volleyball, basketball, and track at Aberdeen High...champion in track and basketball in high school...hopes to do social work beyond graduation...hopes to make it to regionals and break the currently held UMES weight and shotput records
