PRINCESS ANNE, MD. Tanisha Wisdom (St. Catherine, Jamaica/G.C. Foster College) has qualified for the 2007 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship, held on March 9-10 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Wisdom provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championship in the 400m run at the Alex Wilson Invitational last weekend. The junior set a new school record with her time of 53.61 seconds, a mark that ranked her 17th in the nation.

"This marked the second year we had someone go to NCAA's during the indoor season," said Head Coach Ernest Barrett. "That is an incredible feat. I am so proud of this young lady and of the entire program."

Wisdom will vie for a championship on Friday, March 9 with the preliminary round of the women's 400m dash.
