Head Coach Ernest Barrett had two of his own make the national field

FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. - Tanisha Wisdom and Kimani Kirton each took home Top 20 finishes at the 2007 NCAA Indoor Championship this past weekend in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The duo did not qualify for the finals but had good outings in their respective events.

Wisdom was fourth in her heat and took 16th with a finish of 54.80 in the women's 400m dash. The junior provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championship at the Alex Wilson Invitational and set a new school record with her time of 53.61 seconds.

Kirton finished 15th this weekend with a throw of 16.82 meters (55-02.25 feet) in the men's shot put. He provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championship at Bucknell's Open & Multi meet. The Jamaica native set a new school record with his throw of 18.72 meters (61-42.00 feet) and fell just shy of qualifying for NCAA's until two participants dropped out of the national pool.

The pair will begin the outdoor season this weekend at the 49er Classic in Charlotte, North Carolina.
