2013 MEAC Commissioner's All-Academic Team

NORFOLK, Va. -- 51 student-athletes from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore have earned a place on the 2013 MEAC Commissioner's All-Academic Team, announced by the conference.

To earn all-academic honors, student-athletes of sophomore academic standing or higher must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better through the 2012-13 season.

"I am excited to highlight the 882 student-athletes who maintained a 3.0 or better grade point average during the 2012-13 academic school year," said MEAC Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas in the conference press release. "I would like to commend the administrators, athletic academic support staff and personnel, coaches, institutions, and parents for their contributions to the academic success of these student-athletes."

Baseball placed 10 student-athletes on the All-Academic Team to lead all UMES athletic teams. Bowling led all UMES women's teams with seven representatives. All 15 UMES sports have representatives on the All-Academic Team.
