2014 Raleigh Relays

2014 Cross Country: Had a strong campaign as a sophomore ... led off the year with a sixth place finish at the UMES Lid Lifter and a time of 20:30.29 ... had her fastest time at the Del. State Invitational with a time of 19:23.7, a collegiate best ... registered another 6th place finish at the Cappy Anderson Invite ... finished 11th at the MEAC Championships with a time of 19:37.9.

2015 Indoor Season:
Raced 21 times between mid-distance and relay races ... had the fastest time of any Hawk in the 500 meter run with a time of 1:16.75 ... primarily ran in the 800 meter run, with a top time of 2:12.48 at the Terrier Invitational ... took fourth at the MEAC Championships in the 800 meter ... won the Coach O Invitational's 800 meter with a time of 2:15.70 ... also had the top time of the Lady Hawks in the 1000 meter run at 3:03.69, taking 8th at Navy ... placed twice in the top ten in the mile run, including a time of 5:19.54 at the Navy Invite ... helped the 4x400 relay team acheive numerous victories and top five finishes with a top time of 3:46.12 at the Terrier Invitational ... team also finished fourth at the MEAC Championships and won at events over the winter ... qualified for the 4x800 at the IC4A/ECAC Championships, and finished fifth with a time of 8:50.87 ... helped distance medley team to a 1st place finish at the MEAC Championships.

2015 Outdoor Season:
Competed in a large number of events ... had a top time of 57.79 seconds in the 400 meter dash ... finished second at the VertKlasse Meeting with a time of 2:11.69 at the 800 meter run and finished fifth in the same race at the MEAC Championships ... helped the 4x400 relay team qualify for the MEAC and IC4A/ECAC Championships, finishing fourth and third, respectively, in each race ... the IC4A time was the fastest of the season at 3:41.83 ... competed on the 1600 Sprint Medley team and finished third with a time of 4:03.64 at the Raleigh Relays.

2014 Indoor Season:
raced in 20 different events/races this season...won a 500 meter dash with a season best time of 1:15.10 at the Coach O Inv. in December...helped in two 4x400 relay wins...also aided in school record setting performance in 4x800 meter relay with a time of 8:57.67 at IC4A/ECAC Championships in March...named 2014 MEAC All-Academic Honoree

2013 Outdoor Season: A distance runner ... Helped contribute to the 4x800-Meter relay success at Penn Relays with a 7th place 9:01.26 time as 4th leg and 4x400-Meter relay at MEAC Championships with a 3rd place 3:42.83 as a 1st leg addition ... placed 3rd with a season best of 2:13.12 in the 800-Meter at the MEAC Championships ... also competed in the 1500-Meter Run: (5:19:15 - Duke Invitational), (4:59.26 - Wake Forest Open) ... other 800m times: (2:14.81 - Duke Invitational), (2:18.44 - George Mason Spring Invitational), (2:18.72 - Morgan State Legacy).

2013 Cross Country Season: ran in every race this season...had one top ten finish at the Hornet Invitational...was second best UMES runner at the MEAC Championships, finishing 23rd.

Personal:born on October 11, 1991...has two sisters and five brothers...nickname is Hemleyboo...placed in top ten in 800m finals and the 2000m steeple chase at the Boys and Girls Championships in 2010, which she considers her best personal sports moment...competed in track and field while in high school...lists her mother and grandmother as her biggest influence because they want her to achieve the best in non-athletic accomplishment is passing the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) exams...hopes to become a social worker upon graduation...favorite saying is "Pain is temporary, success is forever"...hobbies outside of sports is dancing, socializing and singing...hopes to aim for the highest level possible and run below 2:10 in the 800m and below 55 seconds in her leg of the 4x400m advice from her is to "Aim for the sky, and never say never"
