The University of Maryland Eastern Shore Men's and Women's Track and Field teams competed at Raleigh Relays on March 26-27, 2004. There, Kimani Kirton placed 8th overall, throwing 16.40m in the Shot Put. Gareth Burrows ran a season best of 48.93 in the 400-meter dash. The Men's Sprint Medley (Ronnie Beard, Alex Edwards, Gareth Burrows, and Damion Drummond) placed 4th overall with a time of 3:26.34. Damion Drummond also placed 5th overall in the 800m Run with a time of 1:51.94. Also, Frederick Keter ran a school record in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 9:53.57. The Women's 4x200m Relay (Nashira Rawles, Eboni Reavis, Candace Frederick, Alyssa Walker) ran 1:40.49, placing 13th overall. Both teams will compete at Duke University on April 3.
