HENRY, MENA NAMED PRMC UMES ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - Junior Vanessa Henry (Capital Heights, Md.) and senior Luis Mena (Cape Coral, Fla.) have been Peninsula Regional Medical Center University of Maryland Eastern Shore Athletes of the Week, for the period ending March 27.
Henry captured a first-place finish in the shot put at Towson Invitational on Saturday. She won the event with a mark of 14.17 meters to help the women's track and field team in the non-scoring meet.
UMES is back in action Friday and Saturday (April 1-2) at the Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla.
Mena, a third baseman of the baseball team, batted a team-leading .625 (10-for-16) with five RBI, three runs scored, two doubles and one home run.
Mena went 6-for-10 in a doubleheader sweep of Coppin State on Saturday. He had a pair of RBI doubles in the Hawks' Game 2 6-2 win and finished the day with four RBI.
