Tanisha Wisdom and the Lady Hawks squad was one of 20 schools to make the national field

SACRAMENTO, CALIF. - The UMES women's 4x100m relay team completed day one of competition of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday, June 8. The quartet of Tanisha Wisdom, Danieth Pryce, Shakira Robinson and Cierra Layne put in a strong effort but fell short in the preliminaries as they did not finish the race.

The tandem set a school record with a time of 44.61 at the NCAA East Regional and earned a berth in the national field because of that time.

The Lady Hawks' selection for NCAA's marked the second consecutive year that UMES was represented on the national level. Wisdom, Pryce, Robinson, Layne and the rest of the team will look forward to next season, beginning with cross-country in September.
