Rmidi leads men to fourth place finish, Halmon is top women's runner

2013: Was the most consistent performer for the Hawks during the Cross Country season...finished in the top ten in every single race he ran this past fall...made his collegiate debut at the UMES Lid-Lifter, finishing 8th with a time of 16:42.07...finished fourth at the Hornet Invitational with a time of 21:29 flat...earned a sixth place finish at the Cappy Anderson Invitational...fared even better in the 5 mile races with two 2nd place finishes...improved on times in all three 5 mile races from 28:10.86 at the Farm Run Inv. to 25:58.20 at the MEAC Championships...his finish of 6th at the Championships was the best finish for a Hawk during that event.
High School/Club:competed in track and cross country in high school...won silver medals twice and placed 3rd at World Junior Championships in 2012 ... member of C.A. Playas de Castellon, where he placed third at a European Club Championship.
Personal:born August 16, 1995...son of Mohamed Rmidi and Najat Kinini...has a sister Ines and a brother Oussama....marketing major at UMES...pregame routine includes placing his spikes on the inverse side of the bag and praying...best personal sports moment is when he qualified to the World Cross Country Championships in 2012...his coach in Spain is his person who influenced him most...plans to go to graduate school and work in a Sports Business upon graduation...his favorite saying is "You don't deserve things, you earn them"...hobbies include listening to music...favorite move is V for Vendetta...personal athletic goals is to qualify to the World Junior Championships in Eugene on July 2014...athletic goals before graduation is to win the ring for the MEAC championships and make the NCAA championships...
