PRINCESS ANNE. Md. – Sophomore Latitia Salley (Linden, N.J.) and senior Zavior Brown (Middletown, N.Y.) have been selected as the Peninsula Regional Medical Center University of Maryland Eastern Shore Athletes of the Week for the week of September 10. The distinction marks the second of the year for Brown, while Salley is honored for the first time.

Salley stole the show at the Delaware State Invitational this past weekend as she finished first with a time of 19:19.09. It was her effort that helped UMES secure a fourth-place finish at the event. Her outstanding effort proved to be the second consecutive week that she finished at the front of the pack for the women.

Brown collects his second consecutive distinction behind a seventh-place finish at the Delaware State Invitational. He ended the race with a time of 16:39.51, which was over 20 seconds faster than the closest UMES competitor. His effort helped land the men’s team a sixth-place finish.
