SEASON OUTLOOK:
Bermudez, who will team with Eric Gaines for a solid defensive team up the middle, should see a majority of his playing time at second base. "He has a quick bat, a strong arm and average speed," said Rodriguez. "As a freshman, he needs to relax at the plate and do his job, if he can do that he will be a very important player in the lineup."

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB TEAM:
Bermudez, who earned four varsity letters in football, basketball and baseball at Oakcrest High School, was a two-year captain as he hit .393 with a .608 on-base percentage as he recorded 75 career walks...He plays club baseball with the Pittsgrove Pumas in the Del-Valley league (Pittsgrove, N.J.)...His Pittsgrove team won the WBCT championship and were the Penn State Tournament champions as he led the team in triples.
