2015: Was the lone Hawk to compete in every single game this season and started in every contest but one ... blossomed into a middle of the order hitter, increasing his average from .186 to .260 in 2015 ... clocked six doubles and a homerun along with 20 RBIs ... also registered a .311 slugging percentage and a .316 on base percentage ... also stole six of seven bases ... hit .313 in MEAC play ... went 2-for-5 at George Washington March 3rd ... contributed two RBIs in a 2-for-4 performance against Coppin on March 15th ... the following day James delivered a walk-off single to sweep Coppin State ... had a stretch where he went 9-for-12 with two RBIs, two doubles and five runs scored ... after a 2-for-4, three RBI day April 18th versus DSU, James' average touched .300 ... collected three RBIs in the MEAC Tournament.

2014:
Started at second base for 44 of the team's 48 games...batted .186 in 140 at-bats this season...had a four-game hit streak that included a 3-hit performance against Mount St. Mary's (3/10)...James also registered two hit in the first game of a doubleheader that day, going 5-for-8 on the day...had another six-game hit streak that raised his average by 42 points from March 22nd thru April 5th.

2013: Earned Second Team All-MEAC at second base ... started in 52 games, playing mainly second base with some games in center field ... hit .244 with 11 doubles, 15 walks and 17 RBI ... earned four four-game hit streaks during the year ... earned three multi-hit games against Lafayette, including 2-for-2 day with a pair of RBI in game two (3/9) ... started Norfolk State series (3/23) going 2-for-4 with a run ... went 2-for-4 with an RBI in the win over George Washington (4/23) ... scored both runs in a 2-for-4 day against Georgetown (4/30) ... named to the MEAC Commissioner's All-Academic Team.

2012: Primary shortstop for the Hawks, playing in 50 games with 46 starts to lead all UMES freshman in time played ... led UMES freshmen with 10 runs, three doubles, 12 RBI, nine walks and eight sacrifice hits ... hit .193 on the season (27-for-140) ... earned first collegiate hit with single vs. Western Illinois in the Bulldog Classic (2/26) ... hit 2-for-4 with a run and RBI vs. Mount St. Mary's (3/13) for first multi-hit game ... three times hit in three straight games ... went 3-for-6 vs. Norfolk State (4/14) ... member of the National Honor Society of Leadership.
