UMES SPLITS COUPLE OF ONE-RUN GAMES TO COPPIN STATE

Hawks take game one 3-2, fall in the second contest 5-4

2013: Served as a left fielder and designated hitter for UMES, hitting .171 with 15 walks and 16 runs in 36 games, including 33 starts ... went 2-for-5 with a pair of runs vs. Buffalo (2/23) ... earned an RBI in three consecutive games from March 3-9 ... earned a four-game hitting streak from March 29-April 4 ... 2-for-2 with an RBI at Delaware State (5/4) ... scored two runs in final UMES game vs. N.C. Central in the MEAC Tournament (5/16).

2012: Fourth on the team and first among UMES newcomers with a .292 batting average ... led the Hawks with a .402 on-base percentage with 18 walks ... stole four bases in five attempts, drove in 14 runs in 37 games, including 33 starts as the UMES designated hitter ... hit safely in first two UMES games with an RBI in each, combining to hit 3-for-8 with two RBI in doubleheader at Gardner-Webb (2/17) ... hit two-run single in first home at bat, going 2-for-3 vs. Cornell (3/2) ... earned seven-game hitting streak from April 1st-14th, capped by 3-for-3 game with three runs and two RBI, a home run short of the cycle vs. Norfolk State (4/14) ... hit safely in eight of nine games from April 20th-May 11th ... went 2-for-3 with a sacrifice fly in final game of the year vs. Delaware State in the MEAC Tournament (5/19).
