The Hawks managed just one run in the game, which was scored by Jorge Pichardo, who made his debut in the maroon and grey. Pichardo went 2-3 on the day with a run and a double. He doubled in the eighth inning to right field and scored when Phillip Vaughn reached on a fielder's choice with the bases loaded. Pichardo also recorded an infield single to second in the sixth inning.
