Emmitsburg, MD - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Hawks (2-39-1) fell in their final non-conference game of the regular season today to The Mount of Mt. Saint Mary's in baseball action by a score of 11-3.

Hawk starter James Walls could only go one and two thirds innings, allowing 11 hits and ten runs, six of which were earned. He was relieved by Terrell Harris who finished the last six and one third innings allowing just eight hits and one unearned run.

Mt. Saint Mary's had two home runs in the game, both to start the second inning off of Walls. They collected 19 hits on the day.

UMES had ten hits in the game and scored two runs in the fourth and one in the sixth inning.

Bobby Shaw, Robert Benak, and Joel Maher all had two hits each with Benak, Maher, and Pete Mayta each collecting an RBI. Benak also scored two of the runs while Shaw touched home for the third.

UMES takes on Coppin State College on April 22 at Hawks Stadium in a MEAC, non-standing match-up.
