In the top of the seventh the Hawks crossed another run on two hits. Quick led off with a single up the middle. A sacrifice bunt from Stratchko would advance Quick to second. Quick would advance to third on a passed ball from Brett Tidball. On a 2-2 pitch, Jackson slugged out a double to rightfield plating Quick, giving the Hawks the lead 2-1.
