PRINCESS ANNE, Md. -- UMES athletics is proud to announce that Hawks baseball is back on the radio, returning to Timeless Favorites WGOP 540 AM this season.

WGOP, a 500-watt station based out of Pocomoke City, is the flagship station for UMES volleyball, women's basketball and baseball, plus airs men's basketball games. The station has served the local community since 1955.

All games will be available for free online on umeshawks.com, so all fans, including those that do or do not live around the Eastern Shore, may hear the games live and free of charge.

Dave Vatz returns for his third year as the voice of Hawks baseball. Steve Pettit is also back as the primary board operator/producer for WGOP.

The first broadcast will be on Friday, February 15th when the Hawks take on Winthrop for their first game of the season at 4 p.m.
