March 2, 2005 PRINCESS ANNE, MD - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore baseball program has announced that the double-header against Lehigh University has been cancelled due to continue bad weather and poor field conditions. The game originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 2, 2005 was postponed until Thursday, March 3, 2005 in hopes of getting the field ready for play.
UMES will return to action this weekend as they play host to Long Island for three games. The double-header on Saturday, March 5th will begin at noon, and the series will conclude on Sunday with a nine-inning game starting at noon.
