March 23, 2005 PRINCESS ANNE, MD - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore baseball program has cancelled its four-game home weekday series against Savannah State University due to rain. The Fighting Hawks, will try to make-up the missed games against SSU, but have not established a date or location.
UMES is still looking for a make-up date for the Norfolk State double-header postponed earlier this year. However, they will return to action this weekend, March 26-27 as they play host to Norfolk State University for three Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference games starting at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at Hawk Stadium.
