Coach Brian Kuznierz is a third-year assistant coach with the Fighting Hawks basketball program. He was previously at Concordia University in River Forest, IL, where he served two seasons as an assistant coach. In addition, Brian has worked at over 30 basketball camps around the country. A three-year starter at Angelo State University in Texas, "Coach K" was the team captain for the 1996-97 and 1997-98 campaigns. An all-conference selection in 1998, he was voted as the team's Most Valuable Player. He finished his tenure there ranked in the top three in assists and steals. Kusnierz origially hails from Brookfield, IL, a suburb of Chicago. He attended high school at St. Joseph High, a school that was made famous by the movie "Hoop Dreams". "Coach K" recieved his B.A. in Business Management in 1998 from Angelo State University and his M.S. in Sports Management/Athletic Administration from Indiana University in 1999. He is currently pursuing a second masters in Criminal Justice at UMES. Just last season Brian was named as one of College Basketball's 50 Most Eligible Bachelors according to College Insider.com. |
