Third-year assistant basketball coach Paris Parham comes to UMES from Minnesota State University in Mankato, MN. While there he served as a assistant coach from 1995-2001. While 'Coach P' has experience in coaching, he also has a varied background in athletics. He has served as assistant to the athletic director, and coordinator for the Maverick Academic Center at Minnesota State. Parham was a player at Lincoln College in Lincoln,IL, serving as the team's captain both years he was there. He then went on to play at Minnesota State from 1993-1995 and was team captain again in 1995. He was named an all-conference selection of the North Central Conference in 1995. He ranks eighth all-time at Minnesota State in career assists. 'Coach P' recieved his Master of Science in Education Administration from Minnesota State University and his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration also from Minnesota State. Parham, a Chicago native, has a wife,Keisha, and two sons, Paris and Kai. |
