Nick Robinson is in his third season with the Hawks and his second as an Assistant Coach after serving the 2008-09 season as a Graduate Assistant Coach. His primary responsibilities include perimeter player development, team travel and equipment in addition to overseeing the team's strength and conditioning program. Other duties include recruiting and scouting opponents.
Robinson came to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore after having served as an assistant coach with American Christian Academy and Prep. School (Aston, Pa.) for the 2007-08 season where the team amassed a 29-7 record. He previously served as an assistant coach for Concordia College (Bronxville, N.Y.) from 2005-2007, where he evaluated and recruited potential players and implemented new offensive plays.
Starting in high school, Robinson spent over 12 years working at Five-Star Basketball. In 2005, he went on to serve there full time as the Director of Operations where he oversaw camp staffing and coordinated the verification of McDonald's All-American candidates. He also served as the head coach of Team Final's 14-and-under AAU team based in Philadelphia, Pa.
"Nick was someone that was well recommended by the people who run the prestigious Five-Star Basketball Camp," said head coach Frankie Allen. "He has a strong work ethic and attention to detail."
Robinson graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Magna cum Laude, as a double major, while serving as a student manager for the men's basketball team. A Baltimore native, he is also an alumnus of The Cardinal Gibbons School.
