Sean Berry is coming off of a double-double against Oklahoma on Monday

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team returns home from five games on the road and nearly a month away from the W.P. Hytche Athletic Center to host the South Carolina State University Bulldogs Saturday, Jan. 9 at 4 p.m.

The Hawks are currently 3-10 on the season and 3-0 at home. UMES has dropped their last five with contests against Wright State, Northern Illinois, Ball State, Nebraska and Oklahoma. Freshman center Sean Berry (Irvington, N.J.) posted the second double-double of the season for the Hawks, finishing with 16 points and 12 rebounds, against Oklahoma on Monday.

SCSU is coming off of an 88-73 loss to The College of Charleston and currently hold a 6-5 record. Tyvon Williams led the team in scoring with 17 points while Jason Flager leads the team in scoring this season with an average of 13.2 points per game.

This is the 56th meeting between the Hawks and Bulldogs. SCSU currently leads the series 37-18, but lost last year's matchup, 66-63.

Saturday's game can be heard and viewed live on the Internet thanks to allinbroadcasting.com and live on the Hawks Radio Network at Studio 106.1 FM. Nick Anastos, David Byrd and Bret Lasky have the call for UMES.
