10/30/2002 - "HAWK BASKETBALL GEARS UP FOR HALLOWEEN"

PRINCESS ANNE, MD-The University of Maryland Eastern Shore is preparing for the annual maroon and gray scrimmage tomorrow night, October 31st at 7:00 PM. The Fighting Hawks are almost ready to kick-off their exhibition season on November 9th and have this tune up game to help ready the team.

Since it is Halloween, UMES will host a costume parade for children 12 and under and one for UMES students. Each entrant will receive prizes and Halloween candy. One lucky fan will also have their raffle ticket drawn to win a trip anywhere in the continental United States.

Junior guard Tee Trotter is the third leading returning scorer in the MEAC and looks to add help from newcomers Javes Wiggins, Didier Socka, and Terrance Stafford to help build a winning Hawk program. You can catch these Hawks in their first public appearance tomorrow at 7:00 PM in the Hytche Center. Admission is free
