Princess Anne, MD - Both the men's and women's basketball teams were busy this week, playing a combined five games in six days. The men's and women's track teams were also in action, where another individual record was broken at the Penn State National Invitational. Haley went 7-for-10 from behind the arc and scored 33 points to lead the University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team over Howard, 67-66, at the W.P. Hytche Athletic Center Saturday. Haley's previous career-high in points was 22, which he scored at Marquette on November 17. He also broke his career highs in field goals with 11 (previous was eight, also at Marquette) and 3-pointers made with seven (previous was two, which he had done twice).

Women's Basketball

Senior April McBride (New Rochelle, N.Y.) and freshman Chelsea Sanders (Rochester, N.Y.) both collected double-doubles but Morgan State was too much for the University of Maryland Eastern Shore women's basketball team as the Lady Bears pulled away in the second half for a 65-51 win at Hill Field House Monday.

Sanders and junior Casey Morton (Mardela Springs, Md.) combined for 33 points as the University of Maryland Eastern Shore women's basketball team downed North Carolina Central, 64-43, in front of 1,497 at the William P. Hytche Athletic Center Wednesday.
