NORFOLK, Va. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team begins a three-game road trip with a matchup against the Norfolk State Spartans 2 p.m. Saturday at Joe Echols Hall.

The Hawks are currently 6-15 on the season and 4-4 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play. Junior Kevin White (Brooklyn, N.Y.) tallied a career-high 12 assists, but it wasn't enough as UMES lost, 79-65, to Hampton Monday night at home. Redshirt sophomore Hillary Haley (Oxon Hill, Md.) led the team with 21 points and five rebounds while junior Tim Burns (Franklinville, N.J.) registered 16 points and three rebounds.

The Spartans were led by Michael Deloach's 27 points and Kyle O'Quinn's double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds as they snapped their four game losing streak with an 80-71 win over Coppin State on Monday. With the win, NSU improved to 4-16 overall and 3-5 in the MEAC. Deloach leads the MEAC in scoring with 22.8 points per game and O'Quinn is second in the MEAC in rebounding with 9.6 per contest.

Saturday's game can be heard live on the Internet thanks to allinbroadcasting.com and live on the Hawks Radio Network at Studio 106.1 FM. Nick Anastos and Bret Lasky have the call for UMES.
