HAWKS TRAVEL TO HOWARD IN CONFERENCE MATCH-UP

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. --Still in search of adding another victory to the win column, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore travels to Washington, D.C. to face Howard University. Scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 9 at 4 p.m., UMES will face its Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference opponent for the first of two planned contests. The Hawks will host Howard on February 25.

UMES recently lost to North Carolina Central in Princess Anne, Maryland, and is in search of redeeming its 82-54 loss to the Eagles. The Hawks have lost five of its six most recent games by less than five points. Only N.C. Central put up a higher point differential.

Kevin Mays, Troy Snyder and Francis Ezeiru have been the Hawks most consistent players lately. Mays and Snyder are averaging 14.9 and 11.5 points, respectively. While Mays and Ezeiru hold first and second place, respectively, in rebounds per game. Mays has averaged 7.1 RPG, with Ezeiru touting 6.5 RPG.
