Greensboro, NC - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore senior guard, Tee Trotter, was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week today for the week ending February 17th, 2004. This is his third consecutive selection.

Trotter has been on fire lately leading the Hawks to four wins in their last five games, all four are big MEAC wins. This week UMES went 2-1, a loss to non-conference Savannah State was followed by an overtime win over North Carolina A & T and a win last night over defending MEAC Champion South Carolina State.

Trotter averaged 23.1 points per game this week with totals of 34, 16, and 21. He was also a solid 19 of 22 from the free throw line in those outings.

"Tee is a special player," said Head Coach Thomas Trotter. "He works so hard and is a vital part of the engine that makes us go. Right now the entire team is playing for each other and they believe in themselves. If we can keep it up we can really do some damage in the MEAC," Trotter added.

Tee Trotter is a candidate for the Francis Pomery Naismith Award, MEAC Player of the Year, and an All-American nominee.
