HAWKS PREPARE FOR BIRD FIGHT WITH COPPIN STATE EAGLES

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. —The University of Maryland Eastern Shore dropped its homecoming contest to Morgan State, and will prepare to host Coppin State Monday, Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m. Olatunji Kosile finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Hawks, its only double-double for UMES. Troy Snyder finished with a team-high 14 points in the Hawks 55-point outing. UMES has averaged 54 points over its last eight games, including its 58-53 win over Delaware State (Jan. 19) in the two team’s second contest. The Hawks have scored a lowly 44 points twice this season, while mustering a season-high 68 points at Maryland. Coppin State is coming off of a loss to Delaware State (57-43), and is on a six-game losing streak entering Monday’s contest with the Hawks. UMES will is looking to break its current skid with a win over the Eagles, and enter Wednesday’s match-up on a high note.
