DOVER, Del. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Men's and Women's Basketball teams conclude their regular seasons tonight against Delaware State University (DSU) in Memorial Hall.

The Lady Hawks (17-11, 10-5 MEAC) enter tonight's finale after suffering a 75-49 loss to Coppin State on Senior Day. UMES failed to put a single player in double figures for the first time this season as Casey Morton and Tiffany Reid finished with nine points each. April McBride added eight points and a team-high seven rebounds, while seniors Kristi Veltkamp and Brittany Adkins had seven and four points, respectively. With a win UMES would finish third in the MEAC regular season standings and a third seed in the conference tournament.

DSU (16-13, 11-4 MEAC) enters their final game riding a three game winning streak after defeating Morgan State on Saturday, 66-49. The Hornets lost earlier this season to UMES, 61-55. They are led by Raquel Collier and Katreem Palmer with 12.6 and 10.9 points per game, respectively. The two were held to only six points combined in the first meeting. Instead, DSU was led by Keyhana Wakefield with 14 points off the bench.

Morton led the Lady Hawks with a game-high 17 points in the first win over DSU, while McBride added 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

The Hawks (4-26, 2-13 MEAC) have dropped five straight games, including an 85-66 loss to Coppin State on Senior Day. Ed Tyson finished with a team-high 25 points, while senior B.J Nimocks had 12 points and seven boards in his home finale. Omar Akram recorded his first collegiate double-double as he set career-highs with 10 points and 10 boards. Brandon Moore concluded his college career with four rebounds in limited action, while Jahmal Bivins did not play in his farewell.

DSU (12-15, 9-6 MEAC) comes in having dropped their last two games, following a 39-36 setback to Morgan State on Saturday. The Hornets defeated UMES earlier this season, 59-47. They are led by Roy Bright with 19.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. Bright did not play in the first meeting due to an injury, however; Donald Johnson stepped up in his absence as he recorded a double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds.

Tyson, the MEAC's leading scorer, finished with 14 points in the first loss to DSU. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
