TYLER HINES FINISHES WITH DOUBLE-DOUBLE ON SENIOR NIGHT
Princess Anne, Md. --Tyler Hines finished with a double-double performance for the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Thursday. Hines scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the Hawks 73-54 loss to conference leading Savannah State University.

UMES has struggled with keeping depth on the bench. Traveling with eight players at its disposal, the Hawks have several key pieces on the floor at all times. Kevin Maysleads the team in points per game (14.3), and holds the top spot in rebounds.

Troy Snyder and Olatunji Kosilehave held a consistent presence in the Hawks' statistic sheets. Snyder is second in points per game with 11.6, while Kosile has a balanced rebounding and points resume.

All three players have marked game highs in rebounds or points this season. Such marks show their ability to light up a stat-line; however, a team effort is needed to compete against Savannah State Thursday.

This will be the Hawks' last contest before preparing for the MEAC Tournament March 11-16 in Norfolk, Virginia. Held at the Norfolk Scope, UMES will have to focus on its match-up with the Tigers before eyeing its tournament appearance.
