HAWKS SIGN THREE FROM PHILADELPHIA AREA FOR 2013-14 SEASON

PRINCESS ANNE, Md.--The University of Maryland Eastern Shore Men's Basketball team has released the names of three signings for the 2013-14 season. Frankie Allen and his staff will return 10 of its players from the 2012-13 season, and look to add more depth going forward.
Hakeem Baxter, a standout for Philadelphia Electrical and Technology Charter, will join the Hawks as a 6-foot-2 point guard. Baxter averaged 22.6 points per game at P.E.T, and helped the program to a 16-12 record. He scored 1,377 points in his career.
Devon Walker will join the Hawks as a 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Philadelphia. While at Globe Tech in New York City, Walker averaged 15 points per game and was a two-time all-region mention. He was also named national junior college player of the week in his career. Mark Morse, head coach of the Knights said, "Devon was tremendous for our program."
Walker scored 36 points against rival Monroe College, while posting 34-percent shooting from behind three-point range on the season.
Shane Randall played high school basketball at Rise Academy, and is listed as 6-foot-6 combination player. Randall averaged 15 points per game and eight rebounds. He was ranked as one of the top prep players in the state of Pennsylvania.
The Hawks were led by Kevin Mays with 13.3 points per game, while teammate Troy Snyder scored 320 total points (11.9 PPG) on the season. Snyder and Mays were also each ranked first and second, respectively, in rebounds for the team. Snyder led with 6.8 rebounds per game, while Mays added 6.7 rebounds per game.
