PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men’s basketball team will open up its preseason schedule on Friday, Nov. 2, as the Hawks host Salisbury University at the William P. Hytche Athletic Center.

The contest is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. and tickets can be purchased for just $5.

“I think this is a great opportunity for us,” said Head Coach Frankie Allen. “It is good for the community to see the two programs play against one another. Being in such close proximity, it has the chance to get a lot of local interest. We are excited to give our fans the opportunity to see our team publicly before we open the season. It’s a win-win situation for both schools.”

UMES looks to continue its dominance against its Division III foe, as the Hawks hold a 7-3 edge in the all-time series.

The contest will be the only preseason game for UMES this season as the Hawks open up regular season play in the Outrigger Hotels and Resorts Rainbow Classic against the University of Hawaii on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 1 a.m. The game is the first of three games for the Hawks in Honolulu.
