PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team plays host to the Navy Midshipmen on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. at the W.P. Hytche Athletic Center as they look for their third consecutive win.

This is the seventh meeting between the two schools. The Mids lead the series 5-1, with the Hawks' only win coming on Dec. 11, 1993 to a score of 82-71 in Annapolis, Md.

UMES is currently 2-5 on the season and coming off an exciting victory over Delmarva rival Delaware State, 53-50 on Saturday. Redshirt sophomore Hillary Haley (Oxon Hill, Md.) leads the Hawks in scoring with an average of 10.9 points per contest. Senior Neal Pitt (Fort Washington, Md.) averages a team-high 5.3 rebounds per game while junior Kevin White (Brooklyn, N.Y.) dishes out 5.4 assists per match.

Navy is coming off an 81-61 loss to George Washington in the 15th Annual BB&T Classic in Washington, D.C and currently have a record of 4-5. The Mids are led by senior Chris Harris who averages 21.4 points per game.
