DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball travels to the Nutter Center for a 7 p.m. contest against Wright State on Saturday in hopes of continuing a three-game winning streak.

This is the third meeting between the two schools with the two previous contests happening over 20 years ago. On Jan. 16, 1988, WSU throttled UMES 103-73 in Dayton while the Hawks returned the favor with a 77-73 win over the Raiders in Princess Anne, Md. on Jan. 28, 1988.

UMES is currently on a three-game winning streak after starting the season 0-5. The Hawks used a well-rounded team effort to defeat Navy for the first time since Dec. 11, 1993 on Wednesday, Dec. 9. Sophomore Tyler Hines (Sicklerville, N.J.) paced the attack with a career-best 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Redshirt sophomore Hillary Haley (Oxon Hill, Md.) leads the Hawks in scoring with an average of 12.0 points per contest. Senior Neal Pitt (Fort Washington, Md.) averages a team-high 5.9 rebounds per game while junior Kevin White (Brooklyn, N.Y.) dishes out 5.5 assists per match.

The Raiders are coming off an 80-69 loss to Mississippi State on Wednesday night in Starkville. In a losing effort, Wright State set a school record for three pointers made in a single game with 14. The Raiders are a perfect 3-0 at the Nutter Center this season with wins over Central Michigan, Cleveland State and Youngstown State. Senior guard Todd Brown (2nd Team All Horizon League 2008-09) leads the Raiders in scoring at 14.8 points per and is second in rebounding at 4.8 per contest.

Tonight's game can be heard live on the Internet thanks to allinbroadcasting.com and live on the Hawks Radio Network at Studio 106.1 FM. Bret Lasky has the call for UMES. The game is also available to view for free at www.horizonleaguenetwork.tv/wright-state.html.
