PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) will hold a press conference on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. to announce the addition of a 15th sport to be sponsored by the school. UMES will compete in men's golf beginning in the 2009-10 season and will introduce the media to its new head coach and discuss the program's structure and relationship to the UMES Golf Academy. The press conference will feature comments from President Thelma B. Thompson, Director of Athletics Keith Davidson and their new head coach. Questions will be taken after the initial statements are made. The press conference is open to the public and members of the University community are encouraged to attend. Members of the working media are encouraged to RSVP and will be granted priority seating and one on one interview time with the speakers. The conference will be held in the William P. Hytche Athletic Center arena.
