EMMITSBURG, Md. – Despite its doubles teams each winning one game, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore men’s tennis team was defeated 7-0 by Mount St. Mary’s (Md.) on Wednesday, March 21. The team lost by 6-0 decisions in each of its singles matches, before winning a pair of games in doubles.

UMES (0-12, 0-5) saw sophomores Malcolm Johnson (Silver Spring, Md.) and Livin Costica lose 8-1 at No. 1 doubles, before sophomores Wirlen Elame and Wayne Heath drop an 8-1 decision at second doubles. UMES’ No. 3 doubles team fell by an 8-0 score.
