Harold Fowler lost a close No. 3 singles match, 6-1, 7-6 (7-3) to CSU's Lerebours on April 13

BALTIMORE, MD The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) men's tennis team were swept by Coppin State, 7-0 on April 13 in the Fighting Hawks' season finale.

In singles action, Christopher Clark lost a close matchup in the No. 2 spot to CSU's Belind Kellichi, 7-5, 6-4 while Harold Fowler also fell in a close decision, 6-1, 7-6 (7-3) to Christian Lerebours in the number three slot.

Joseph Reynolds took down Kapila Pilimatalauwe 8-1 in the No. 4 singles while William Graham lost 8-2 to CSU's Sweetwine in the fifth spot. William Ntiregrigamya fell in the number six spot to Patrick Phillips, 8-0. Florin Celea defeated Kishan Sudusinghe 6-2 in the first set of No. 1 singles before Sudusinghe retired the match.

The duo of Kellichi and Reynolds defeated Sudusinghe and Clarke, 8-4 in the No. 1 doubles while Fowler and Pilimatalauwe fell 8-1 in the number two doubles spot. Graham and Ntiregrigamya dropped the No. 3 doubles 8-3 to Lerebours and Sweetwine.
