Hasika Pamanuwa teamed with Shahan Sudusinghe to take a doubles win, 8-6.

Baltimore, MD - In their final match of the regular season the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Men's Tennis Team played a hard-fought contest against the Eagles of Coppin State College. The Eagles defeated the Hawks 6-1 despite some spirited play from Shahan Sudusinghe, Hasika Pamanuwa, and the rest of the Hawks.

Pamanuwa and Sudusinghe took a doubles set from the Eagles by a score of 6-8. Later Sudusinghe won his singles match over Sweetwine 7-6 (7-4) 6-0 to put the Hawks on the board.

Lamar Sutton and Pamanuwa both fell in their singles matches but not before doing a little damage and both lost 6-4, 6-2. #1 Singles competitor Brandon Jackson also had a great match falling 6-3, 6-1.

UMES now gets ready for the MEAC Championships in Orlando, FL on April 22-24.
