Oct. 22, 2004 Baltimore, Md. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) men's tennis team ended the Fall portion of their 2004-2005 season with a 4-3 heartbreaking loss to the Eagles of Coppin State University. The Eagles improved to 2-2 on the season with the win and remained unbeaten in league play at 2-0. The Hawks fell to 0-2 overall and in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Play. Florin Celea and Joseph Reynolds both won their final matches of their fall campaign. Celea improved to 5-0 with his No. 1 singles victory over Christopher Clarke in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0, while Reynolds, playing for the first time at No. 2 singles, defeated the Hawk's Rob Schneider, 6-0, 6-0. Coppin's Christian Lerebours defeated the UMES' Harold Fowler, 6-4, 6-4 in a No. 3 match. Maryland Eastern Shore's bright spot was in the final three singles matches, but the Eagles would win the doubles points, taking two of the three doubles matches away from the Hawks for the 4-3 victory. Hasika Pamunuwa and Shahan Sudusinghe were the lone victors in doubles competition and also picked up singles wins along with William `Max' Miller. UMES opens the Spring season on Feb. 17-20, 2005, when it takes part in the MEAC Round-Up at Altamonte Springs, Fla. Agate:
