DOVER, DE - Freshman sensation LaToya Green came off the bench to lead Maryland-Eastern Shore with 20 points. Sixteen of those points came in the second half as she was a big part of the Lady Hawk's second half comeback after being down seven at the half. It would not be enough however, as UMES fell to the Lady Hornets, 64-58.

Tiffany Winkfield recorded ten points and ten rebounds for double double number 12 on the season. Laconia Hatcher added eight points.

Mandy Clark had 18 points, and Najmah Fauntleroy added 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Hornets to their sixth straight win and 18th straight at home.

Delaware State improved to 15-4 overall and 10-1 in the MEAC. UMES fell to 6-13 and 2-9.

Delaware State led 30-23 at the half, and opened up a 36-27 lead on a jumper by Clark with 18:38 left to play. Maryland-Eastern Shore scored the next nine points, and tied the game at 36 on a lay up by Green with 16:23 remaining.

There were seven ties in the second half. The score was 50-50 when Delaware State pulled away for good. Fauntleroy hit a jumper with 5:16 left to give the Hornets a 58-50 lead.

Delaware State led 59-57 when Clark and Terrelle Waller hit back-to-back buckets to stretch the Hornets' lead to 63-57 with 38 seconds remaining.

UMES could not overcome the deficit as forcing DSU into foul shots gave them a six point win, 64-58.
