Tiffany WInkfield helps the Hawks defeat the Golden Lions
The University of Maryland Eastern Shore Women's Basketball (1-1) defeated University of Arkansas Pine Bluff Sunday afternoon in K.L Johnson HPER Complex by a final score, 77-60. Tiffany Winkfield recorded 19 points and 13 rebounds while Octavia Thompson had 25 points.

This is the Hawks first win of the young season. "I was impressed with their team work," said Coach Surina Dixon. "I hope they keep it up for the rest of the season."

The Golden Lionettes were led by Jessica Fulce with 18 points and 12 total rebounds. Karvel Irving had ten points for the game.

The Lady Hawks will travel to College Park to participate in the University of Maryland College Park Terrapin Classic. They will play the University of Louisiana Layfayette on November 29 at 1:00pm and Maryland or Sacred Heart on November 30 at 12:30 p.m. or 3:30 p.m.
