PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - Senior Casey Morton (Mardela Springs, Md.) and redshirt junior Hillary Haley (Oxon Hill, Md.) were named Peninsula Regional Medical Center University of Maryland Eastern Shore Athletes of the Week for the second straight week Monday, for the period ending Jan. 2.

Morton, a guard on the women's basketball team, scored 26 points in losses to Canisius and American last week. Morton tied her career high with 24 points on 8-of-16 shooting in a 64-60 loss to American at the William P. Hytche Athletic Center.

Morton finished the two games going 9-for-18 from the floor, 3-for-6 from 3-point range. She had six rebounds, three assists and two steals.

The Lady Hawks next play at Savannah State on Wednesday, Jan. 5 at 7 p.m.

Haley, a guard on the men's basketball team, recorded 18 points and four rebounds in a 92-65 loss at Colorado on Wednesday. He was 7-for-12 from the field in 23 minutes.

The Hawks travel to play Oklahoma to play the Sooners Monday at 8 p.m.
