UMES CALLS ALL FORMER HAWK HOOPSTERS BACK HOME
Oct. 8, 2013
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - Playing collegiate basketball is an honor unto itself. In fact the fraternity of Division I athletes is a small group. With that said, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) is reaching out to all former basketball players for the University. Whether they played in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80, 90s, or 2000s, the school wants to welcome the Hawks home and what better way to do it then at the kick-off for the upcoming basketball season, Hawk Hysteria.
The event takes place October 18th, begins at 7:00 p.m. and features games, contests, performances, giveaways and basketball!
The Department of Athletics would like to see as many former basketball players from the University back as possible. They plan on honoring their contribution at a special ceremony during Hawk Hysteria. If the player, men's or women's, exhausted their eligibility, graduated or stopped playing prior to 2010, then the Hawks want them home.
Each past player is asked to register using a link on umeshawks.com, which can be mailed, e-mailed or faxed. Once verified, they will be included on a list of honorees, provided a pass for complimentary admission to any home game, November-January and receive an exclusive Hawk Basketball alumni gift.
Questions can be directed to Mr. G. Stan Bradley, Associate Director of Athletics at email@example.com or by calling 410-651-6499.
