With the 2011-12 season around the corner, it is time to take a closer look at this year's University of Maryland Eastern Shore women's basketball team. Hawk Hysteria is only one day away and helping countdown the days will be the Meet The Lady Hawks: The Locker Room Series. Each player took time out to tell us a little about themselves and their anticipation and excitement for this upcoming season. Everyday leading to Hawk Hysteria on October 21 a different player interview will be posted. Yesterday Chelsea Sanders and Caitlyn Dillard sat down for Day 8 of The Locker Room Series.

Today we catch up with senior Amber Cook out of Greensboro, North Carolina. Cook, the 5'7" guard, was named team captain last season and started 26 games with 28 appearances overall. She improved her shooting for the third straight year, averaging 6.8 points per game on 37.1% shooting. Cook is third on the team in rebounds a game with four, grabbing 111 last season and second on the Lady Hawks with 44 assists and 46 steals.
